TCLT Now Offers Special Use Permits!
TCLT now offers limited reservations for special events and special use needs for a fee/donation. Due to limited staff and capacity, we reserve the right to deny special use requests. TCLT requires a 30-day Notice prior to special use/event. Special use permits include but not limited to:

Special Use Guidelines:
- Commercial use or private events w/hired services must provide a Certificate of Insurance with $1,000,000 in liability insurance, naming Trinidad Coastal Land Trust as additionally insured.
- Events without a Certificate of Insurance require all particpants to sign a release of liability form
- Stay on trails at all times. (Unless special authorization is granted)
- Trample vegetation or disturbing soil is prohibited
- No taking or harvesting of plants, animals, or other resources (Unless collection permit is granted).
- Fires, hazardous substances, or vehicles on beaches & trails are strictly prohibited
- All trash must be packed out (no matter how small).
- Follow Marine Mammal Protection Act regulations:
o Maintain at least 150 ft distance from seals and sea lions.
- Drones are prohibited during March–August (seabird and harbor seal breeding season).
- Drones permitted ONLY September through February and must follow all Federal, state, county and municipal laws.
- The use of glitter, rice, petals, confetti, and other similar material is prohibited.
- Low sound amplified instruments are only permitted on a case-by-case basis due to possible disruption of nesting birds. Acoustic instruments are permitted.
- Generators are permitted on a case-by-case basis.
- Alcohol: Event holder must abide by California ABC regulations.
- All events must occur between dawn and dusk.
- Special Events are restricted to 4 hours (unless special authorization is granted)
- Permittee is responsible for communicating rules & regulations to all participants.
- Permittee must bear the full expense of damage caused to TCLT property beyond regular wear and tear. This includes damages to natural resources or costs associated with fire suppression.
- Other than your localized use, permittee agrees to allow unrestricted public access to TCLT property.
