Our small town of Trinidad and surrounding coastline has a lot of interesting history and places to explore. Visit these places and websites for more info.
In town, take a photo of Trinidad’s Memorial Lighthouse, recently moved next to the Trinidad harbor/pier, at the bottom of the Trinidad Head loop trail. The Trinidad State Beach picnic area (located directly north of Trinidad School) has a restroom and forest trails to the beach. The Humboldt State University Marine Lab has a touch tank for kids and is open to visitors during posted hours. The Trinidad Museum (open hours Thurs-Sunday 12:30pm-4pm) has beautiful, historical exhibits and is located next to the Trinidad Library and our land trust Simmons Gallery. Also, enjoy browsing a diverse array of professional arts and crafts at the Trinidad Art Gallery, selling works from twenty local artisans and the adjacent 'Picker's Paradise' antiques garage.
